Reports and Assessment

Reporting to parents

At Cleeve School we put a large emphasis on working in collaboration with parents and students to continue to make progress in their education.  As part of this drive when we report to parents we also take time to offer Parents' Evenings so that we can look at any issues or successes as a cohesive team around the student and their learning.

In this academic year we have moved to a new reporting system as part of a package called Go4Schools and it is our aspiration that at some point in the year we shall report to parents electronically and that they will have access to assessment information on a more regular basis than three times a year.  As this project continues to roll out we will communicate more fully to parents.

Please see below for a breakdown of what you can expect as a parent in regards to information about your child’s progress at Cleeve School.

Years 7-10

You will receive three reports throughout the year detailing your child’s progress and effort; one of these will include a more formal written aspect.  You will have the opportunity at each of these to attend a Parents' Evening with your child - 5 minute appointments with their teachers - to look in detail at their progress and determine how they can continue to make progress.

Year 11

You will receive two reports throughout the year detailing your child’s progress and effort; one of these will include a more formal written aspect.  You will have the opportunity at each of these to attend a Parents' Evening with your child - 5 minute appointments with their teachers - to look in detail at their progress and determine how they can continue to make progress.  We also take the opportunity after the mock examinations to invite some students and their parents to a meeting with specific subject teachers to look at their progress where there are concerns.

Sixth Form Students

You will receive two reports throughout the year detailing your child’s progress and effort; one of these will include a more formal written aspect.  You will have the opportunity for each of these to attend a Parents' Evening with your child - 5 minute appointments with their teachers - to look in detail at their progress and determine how they can continue to make progress.  You will also be invited to attend a triangle evening in the Autumn Term to discuss subject specific progress and issues with each of your child’s subject teachers.
