Below are some of the groups students can take part in.
Jazz Quartet - European Music Tour - Junior Orchestra - Jazz Band - Samba Band
Senior Orchestra - Cleeve Live Lounge - Unplugged Lunchtime Concerts - Christmas Concert - House Music

We have a very busy schedule of rehearsals that lead up to big events throughout the academic year. Our Christmas Concert, held at Cheltenham Town Hall, sells over 800 tickets every year and it a lovely, festive event. We also organise school-based concerts, unplugged lunchtime gigs, as well as European Music Tours and whole-school productions of shows. Our Senior Choir and Jazz Band have been selected to take part in the National Festival of Music for Youth, and the Jazz Band performs every year at the Cheltenham International Jazz Festival. We also hold annual rock gigs in aid of different charities, as well as instrumental recitals at lunchtimes.
Students are encouraged very early on at Cleeve to take up a musical instrument, although it is never too late to start!
We have around 250 students learning an instrument, and many students go on to study their chosen discipline at university and music colleges.

Terms and Conditions Sept 2012
Students in years 7, 8 and 9 have the opportunity to compose their own music from Club Dance to Programme Music using Garage Band on our suite of iMacs, and to perform music from a range of styles and genres. We follow the Edexcel Specification at both GCSE and A Level Music and Music Technology, and we are very fortunate to have outstanding recording facilities in our new building, which are regularly booked by students for recording projects
