TransitionS FOR NEW STUDENTS
Welcome to Cleeve School and Sixth Form Centre of Excellence; we are absolutely delighted that your child will be joining us in September.
We understand that you may have questions about your child's transition from Primary to Secondary School. Please know that we will do everything we can to allay any concerns whilst ensuring that your child is happy, settled and learning at our school. We work hard to ensure that your child feels comfortable and confident when they join us as we fully understand that new students need to feel a sense of belonging and connection. The Year 6 students who are joining us in September are extremely important to us, and we will do all we can to ensure that transition processes and experiences both this school year and in September, are as positive as possible.

JULY: Induction Days
Your child will be invited to Cleeve School for two days to join our current Year 7 students. They will have an opportunity to meet other students within their Tutor Group and College, and to experience some lessons within core departments.
We ask that all students make their own transport arrangements to and from school. Students should wear their primary school uniform and should also wear trainers/sports footwear on both days. Students are requested to apply sun-cream before they come to school, in the event of sunny weather.
Food & Drink
Hot school dinners will be provided for every student on both induction days, free of charge. This is a great opportunity for them to sample the fare of our school catering team. If you prefer your child to have a packed lunch, please provide one for them. Please also ensure that your child brings a water bottle with them and that any relevant allergy information has been shared with the school so that we can cater for your child. This is included in your online Admissions Form.
JULY: Parents Information Evening
All new parents are invited to join us at the Information Evening where you will be able to attend a presentation where you will hear more about life at Cleeve School and you will have the opportunity to meet some of the Year 7 Tutors, Pastoral Team and other Year 7 parents/guardians.
SEPTEMBER: First day of school for Year 7 - Welcome!
The first few days of school are attended by only our Year 7 and Year 12 students. This helps our new students have time to orientate the school site before the other students return later in the week. We look forward to seeing you in September.
