Year 10

When students reach Year 10 they are able to sign up to do the Duke of Edinburgh Silver award programme, either as a direct entrant or having previously completed the Bronze award. This involves a lengthier expedition and time commitment.

We also offer an Outdoor Bushcraft Project for a group of students that have not previously engaged with Outdoor Education and who will benefit from some collaborative working with other students. This is supported by local youth support group WAM who already collaborate with the school to provide mentoring and pastoral support.

Students learn to create a fire, build a shelter and explore woodland resources leading towards an overnight camp in the shelter they create.
